The week 12, it is the last one of the term, so the majority of my Professional Inquiry should have been finished by then. In terms of my Critical Review, after my draft I am improving it week by week, and during the winter holidays I will continue to do so, applying the feedback of Adesola. In terms of my Professional Artefact (Photo above), today I shoot almost all the scenes at my workplace, the Latvian National Opera & Ballet (Photo below) from it to develop my Audiviosual/Documentary, therefore in my winter holidays, I will just keep editing and reviewing that everything it is in the place I want it to be.

Task 7a Part 11: My last Interview

The task 7a of the Module 3 of the BA (Hons) in Professional Practice at the Middlesex University consists of carrying out my professional inquiry.

In this Part 11 of this task I will speak about my last interview for my professional inquiry that I have done yesterday in Riga, with one of the video designers of The Latvian National Opera & Ballet.

Yesterday, I managed to finish my last interview, at the end of the busy schedule of our company.  One of the video designers of our theatre agreed to be interviewed for my BAPP Inquiry, so during 2 minutes we spoke about several issues related with the technical process such and the development of the designs he did for the pieces for Pictures at an Exhibition at the LNOB production of Bolero… (Photo above) and Closer to the equator at the LNOB production of Unknown Territories (Photo above). Also we discussed the impact on the new technologies in his field and how it can affect the choreographic process itself as it is one the main themes of my inquiry. Moreover, we also discussed other artistic aspects and future projects, including a solo where he will create the screen background to be premiered next May in Riga.

Task 7a Part 10: Busy weeks finishing my Critical Review and developing my Professional Artefact

The task 7a of the Module 3 of the BA (Hons) in Professional Practice at the Middlesex University consists of carrying out my professional inquiry.
In this Part 10 of this task I will speak about how busy I am these weeks finishing my Critical Review, as well as developing my Professional Artefact.

In terms of the first part of my Professional Inquiry, I am about to finish the conclusions of it, to have a full draft of my Critical Review at the end of this week. Afterwards, I have around a month to improve its quality to deepen my paragraph on my research topic until the deadline at the start of January.

However, these three last weeks of the term I am fully working on my Professional Artefact (Photos above), developing an audio-visual as I explained on my previous post. It will include all contents of my research, narrated in a different way, for a dance audience. Therefore, I will dance my topic, concretely three different pieces (The Reborn, my own choreography that I created using new technologies, a fragment of my solo from Pictures at an Exhibition from the production of Bolero... at the LNOB and a fragment from the first solo of Dyad 1909 by Wayne McGregor, that I already danced in London four years ago). Also I will be explaining different aspects from my research through several examples, such as photos and videos. It will like a documentary.

Don´t forget to keep following the blog and my Google + Community for the updates about my research!
