Task 7a Part 1: My first Interview

The task 7a of the Module 3 of the BA (Hons) in Professional Practice at the Middlesex University consists of carrying out my professional inquiry. There are many ways to approach its development during the module such us updates of the inquiry progress, thoughts and plans about it or the summary of my inquiry tools (Literature and Interviews mainly). In the following weeks I will be writing about all of them and more examples throughout this blog.

Firstly, in the Part 1 of this task I would like to speak about the first interview for my professional inquiry that I did at the end of June in the Laboratorios Cesar (Photo below) in my hometown in Spain after the module 2 was finished and I was on the summer holidays at the LNOB.

Laboratorios Cesar in Zaragoza (Spain)

As I said in my previous post, I attended the International Dance Contemporary Festival Trayectos in Zaragoza that took place at the Center of Art and Technology Etopia (Photo below), concretely I saw the results of the first Dance and Media Lab (http://smartplaces.eu/activities/dance-and-new-media-lab/) that was developed in collaboration with several organizations and institutions mainly related with the University of Zaragoza. Before this performance I was able to interview the director of the Laboratorios Cesar, (An organization that took part in this project) where we discussed several issues related with it such as how they programmed a robot to dance with a human or how to capture your body movement through accelerometers, I will explain more about it in the analysis of my Critical Reflection.

At the moment as we have just started Week 1 at the BAPP in the past days I have been reading the Module 3 handbook as well as the Reader 7 to organise all the tasks and the different parts of my Professional Inquiry that I have to complete in order to complete the course, therefore in the following weeks I will be posting more articles about the first and second stage of it where I am reading and analysis my Literature as well getting ready for more interviews in Riga.

Don´t forget to keep following the blog and my Google + Community for the updates about my research!

My First Post back, before starting Module 3!

Hi to all of you! I hope you had an amazing summer and you are ready and fresh to start this new term like I am. Before we will start officially next Monday the Module 3 of the BA (Hons) in Professional Practice at the Middlesex University, I would like to update you a bit of what I have been doing all of these months without any posting at the BAPP blog.

Photo Exhibition De Zaragoza al Mundo

After I finished the Module 2 in May, I continued the season at the Latvian National Ballet in Riga, until it finished early June. Parallel to it I carried on with my second Solo Project Fusion Tour 2017, until it has just finished  yesterday with the publication in my Official Social Media of my Promotional Video 2017 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uSON8BD4Blc). During all of these months with this tour, I did several performances and events in Latvia and Estonia as well as a tour in several cities of Spain with the Photo Exhibition I premiered last April, De Zaragoza al Mundo (Photo above). You can see more about this project at my Facebook Page (https://www.facebook.com/GonzaloPreciadoAzanza.page/) as well as all my other social media.

International Dance Contemporary Festival Trayectos

Meanwhile I was doing my solo tour, I continued to think about my BAPP and the Professional Inquiry I was about to start in September, therefore I continued my research within my resources, I attend a few events and shows in my hometown that were going to be relevant for my research such as International Dance Contemporary Festival Trayectos (Photo above), and I even got my first interview for my Inquiry there, that I will talk about it more next week. And on top of all of that, of course I got a few weeks of holidays around my country, Spain.

See you next week in my first post of Module 3 and don´t forget to keep following the blog and my Google + Community for the updates about my research!
