The task 7a of the
Module 3 of the BA (Hons) in Professional Practice at the Middlesex University
consists of carrying out my professional inquiry.
In this Part 3 of
this task I would speak a bit about the the second interview for my
professional inquiry that
I have done last week in Riga, with the principal dancer and choreographer of
The Latvian National Ballet.
At the end of last
week, I managed to finish my second interview, in between the busy schedule of
our company. One the principal dancer and choreographer of The Latvian National
Ballet agreed to be interviewed for my BAPP Inquiry, so during 25 minutes we
spoke about several issues related with the creative process such as the
development of his pieces for Pictures at
an Exhibition at the LNOB production of Bolero…
(Photo below) or when you are developing a brand new choreography, as well as
his own experience as a dancer working with several world-known choreographers
such as Boris Eiffman, Christian Spuck or Krzysztof Pastor. Moreover,
we also discussed other artistic aspects and future projects, including a solo
that he has created for me and that we will premiere it next May in Riga, where
it includes the use of new technologies.

For me, this second interview it was a very
enriching process, because I wasn´t as nervous as the first one and also
because I carried out on a different language: English (Rather than using
spanish like the other one). And, of course the quality of the content that I
got from it, will be very useful for my Inquiry.
Last Tuesday, I
attended the first Module 3 Skype Discussion Group with Helen at 7:30pm (London
Time), where we spoke about several issues related with the development of our
Professional Inquiry. For me it was especially interesting to listen the
opinion of the others about how to carry out and interview, and how you
shouldn´t be so attached to your plan of it and let a bit more freedom to you
interviewee, so they can express themselves in a better way.
Don´t forget to
keep following the blog and my Google + Community for the updates about my
research!
